But don't overlook the contributions of Linda Hamilton, who more than holds her own as the Terminator's would-be victim, Sarah Connor--thus creating, along with Sigourney Weaver in Alien, a new generation of rugged, clear-thinking female action stars. Deuxième long métrage de James Cameron, Terminator trouve dans cette double édition DVD l'écrin qu'il attendait. Sur les deux disques, un même menu animé en 3D invite à prendre les armes. Télécommande en main, on accède au film et à ses suppléments DVD-Rom sur le premier DVD. Le remix 5.1 (anglais) donne un grand coup de jeune à l'ouvrage ! Bien que profitant d'un DVD 9, l'image au format 1.85 16/9 fait preuve d'une certaine granulosité. Les trois scripts accessibles en lecture DVD-Rom sur PC ou Mac sont hélas en anglais. Le premier d'entre eux est également proposé sur le second disque de cette édition. Le reste des suppléments se compose de modules photos et de séquences vidéo. Les premiers, ventilés par thème (illustration de James Cameron ; photos de tournage, des maquillages, des effets visuels ; matériel publicitaire) font véritablement figure d'archives. Sinon, une intéressante rétrospective de près de 20 minutes où Cameron (avec ou sans barbe) et Schwarzy (en short) évoquent leur rencontre et le tournage, un making-of bodybuildé (une heure !) et réalisé pour ce DVD répond à toutes nos questions sur le film. De sa genèse où l'acteur Lance Henriksen était tout d'abord pressenti pour le rôle titre, au succès cinéma où, au grand étonnement des producteurs, Terminator plut également à un public féminin, tout est dit. 11 scènes coupées (ou extraits) apportent une vision complémentaire de l'œuvre. Des écrans en français les resituent dans le film et justifient leur éviction. 3 bandes- annonces et 2 spots TV, tous sous-titrés, arrivent également en renfort, juste au cas où… --Alex Fréau

if you have the dvd, do not buy this
This dvd has really bad picture and sound. 2001 A SPace Odessy has better image. If you own the DVD, you don't need to buy this.

Yeah, the graphics or animation were not that great, but it was the 80's and things have changed. Still a great story and concept.

Great Flick but terrible sound transfer....
I am very dissapointed with the sound in this DVD, I own the VHS version of this movie and the sound on that is much better. Theres a scene where Arnold goes to the 1st Sarah Conners house, when he puts the red dot on her forehead and shoots, the gun sounds like a cap gun. In the VHS version it sounds like a cannon....wow, what a waste...this is the reason DVD is not all its cracked up to be....i will stick with the VHS version just for the soundtrack... way better than this crap.
