Editorial Reviews

Album Description
2007 album from the Fife-based singer/songwriter (real name: Kenny Anderson). Poised to launch from his status as one of fringe-folk's most critically adored artists and into the mainstream, Bombshell is the successor to King Creosote's widely acclaimed 2005 album KC Rules OK. Highlights include the propulsive single 'You've No Clue Do You', the best Country-Rock highway driver the Eagles never wrote. At the other end of the Creosote spectrum is 'The Racket They Made', a shimmering, hymnal duet written by Anderson with fellow Fencer HMS Ginafore. Between these polarities, there is menace aplenty in the title track, and a healthy slice of romantic self-mockery - Anderson's default mode as a lyricist - in 'Cowardy Custard'. 679.
