Customer Reviews

"Tell me to my face" is a perfection5
Sorry folks, but Dan Fogelberg is not my cup of tea. Yet,I bought this CD in a full price (sucker me?)and I'm rating it 5 stars just for one song which is a pure perfection (not almost, but the thing itself)- "Tell me to my face".This most underrated song stand high above all songs not just in this CD but on the entire Amazon catalog.

Elevator music...but catchy4
I used to love this album when I was younger; then I got into stuff like Coltrane and now this sounds like elevator music to me (e.g., it's hard not to picture a dentist's office or grocery store when you hear Guitar Etude No.3). But the music is still full of good melodies and hooks. "Hurtwood Alley" is spectacular. Also very powerful covers with both "Tell Me To My Face" and "Since You've Asked."

A Very Good CD4
One of my favorite CDs. Of the 10 tracks, I've rated two of them as Excellent, three as Very Good, four as Good, and one as OK (I use Media Player's five star rating system where two stars (not three stars) rates as OK). My individual track ratings are:

1. Twins Theme -- 3 Stars
2. Intimidation -- 4 Stars
3. Lazy Susan -- 5 Stars
4. Guitar Etude No. 3 -- 4 Stars
5. Tell Me To My Face -- 3 Stars
6. Hurtwood Alley -- 2 Stars
7. Lahaina Luna -- 3 Stars
8. Paris Nocturne -- 4 Stars
9. Since You've Asked -- 5 Stars
10. The Power Of Gold -- 3 Stars
