Compared by some to Eric Hill's Spot, Kipper is a floppy-eared, good-natured puppy drawn in simple lines and pastel hues. During this one-hour program, Kipper and pals turn ordinary playthings into imaginative adventures. In one story, a tattered rope becomes a circus trapeze; in another, a tree trunk morphs into a pirate's cove. Later, a bouquet of balloons gives rise to lofty imaginings. Young viewers will be inspired to create their own fanciful frolics (magic shows, costume parties, and carnival games) when they hear Kipper's kindly encouragement to "give it a go."
