Synopsis
In the '80s and '90s, before grunge took over MTV for 15 minutes and the underground briefly shook hands with the mainstream, Amphetamine Reptile Records began releasing a series of compilation albums of hard-and-heavy post-punk bands called Dope, Guns and Fucking in the Streets. In time, AmRep upped the ante with an audio-visual version of these discs, a home video series called Dope, Guns and Fucking Up Your Video Deck which included videos and performance clips from some of the best underground bands of the day. Dope, Guns and Fucking Up Your Video Deck, Vol. 1 is a DVD release featuring all the material and more from the first volume of the out-of-print VHS series.
