The second TV season of the master thief created by manga artist Monkey Punch (Kazuhiko Kato) continues, as Lupin, ultimate samurai Goemon, ace shot Jigen, and brunette bombshell Fujiko crisscross the world. They steal a racehorse from a car on the Orient Express, an Ukiyoe print in New York, a file from Scotland Yard in London, a fortune in illegal gambling money in Monaco, and a fabulously rare wine in Bordeaux. Despite Lupin's extraordinary skills, none of these capers turn out quite the way he planned. But he invariably outwits monomaniacal Interpol Inspector Zenigata, who pursues Lupin to every corner of the globe. The animation is rudimentary at best, and each adventure is more fantastically improbable than next, but that's exactly what the many fans of Lupin the Third want and expect.
