Customer Reviews
Chris lee is the next buckleyesque talent
I can't tell you how much I love this cd and his first. Yet for as much as I love his voice, the first thing I notice is the seriously amazing drum work on this album. The short and tall of what I'm saying is it's an emotional 10. Scoring up there with the first counting crows album, Grace by buckley and any other greats u can think of. It gives me chills when I listen to it...
The Second Coming?
I'm surprised no one has yet mentioned Chris Lee's similarity to Jeff Buckley, so let me be the first. Aside from the striking similarity of their voices, Lee's baroque lyric flourishes ('Sexual Politics of Me') and Southern sensibility ('Baby Belle') seem to echo Buckley's style and not in a bad way at all. This album stands on its own as a perfect little disc totalling only about thirty minutes. I listened to it non-stop for the first week I owned it and it comes highly recommended to anyone interested in songwriters bearing the mark of Jeff. Also see: Coldplay, Muse, and Travis.

Watch out Ricky Martin, this young latin superstar is muy caliente. A CD of party startin', hip shakers that are sure to add spice to any occasion. The hit "baila con ninos borrachos" and a salsa version of Ode to Joy are must listens.
No, seriously...Thank you Chris Lee for giving listeners an honest and extremely promising option to the aural nightmare that is contemporary music...Chris crafts (Chris Craft...is that a boat? the guy who sang "sailing"? what?)lyrical landscapes that fall somewhere between the Red House Painters and Al Green...I've been playing this CD for my dog and it seems to keep his teeth clean.
