Editorial Reviews

From Amazon.com
There are two sides to the punk coin. On one side, serious and somewhat political acts such as Fugazi are in it for the pulpit. NOFX is firmly stamped on the other side, where it's less soapbox than a threat of getting their mouths washed out with soap. Not since the heyday of the Dead Milkmen has there been a more insincere and politically incorrect punk-rock outfit, and the world is a more entertaining place for it. Pump Up the Valium's lyrics are first-class juvenilia. The backwards fantasy "What's the Matter with Parents Today?" poses a Twilight Zone-like fantasy in which front man fat Mike laments how "Dad's dressing like Motley Crue" and "Mom's hair's dyed bright blue." There are also tracks such as "My Vagina" and "Herojuana," which are pretty self-explanatory. Some might find such nonstop irreverence tedious if the band weren't so tight while being impolite. --Jason Josephes

Last Great NoFx CD?5
Ahhh. theres nothing like songs about lesbians, lame parents, and clams. Its looking like this could be the last NOFX CD without all the lame political messages. Definately a must have. Dinosaurs will will die is hands down my favorite. I would dare say this is as good as SLATFATS. Don't expect them to sound the same though. This one is a lot faster paced. Good CD. Pick it up. Its too bad these guys picked up such a political agenda. I just hope that all you NOFX fans out there don't just follow everything they say blindly, and decifer for yourselves what the truth is or isn't. Yeah Bush is a moron, but find out for yourselves exactly why.

Great starting point for those curious about nofx4
I'm a fan of slightly easier newschool punk than this, but you really can't go past this record for fast, melodic, catchy, often hilarious punk rock. This one is for all the blink 182, new found glory pop-punk lovers who want to start getting into some original punk. It's far more accessible than any of nofx's earlier albums whilst still containing their typical sound and lyrics and is a better starting point than the war on errorism because they dont shove politics down your throat. So if ur 15-20 and are wondering which nofx album to pick up first, i have just answered ur question. Then pick up punk in drublic next. If you don't like either of those two, don't bother with any other nofx albums.

Another great one by Nofx5
They have done it again these great musicans have done it. There songs are halarious. There funny to lisen to, Nofx are smart as hell. Sure if you just listen to there songs you laugh but, actually if you listen to the lyrics there like teaching you about stuff such as songs like "Louise" and "Take two Placebos", basically every songs. They have gone along way from there first cd, in punk like so called "hardcore" but there the best punk band ever. sadley some of there songs did not make it on the cd :(
