About the Artist
2002 is comprised of the duo, Randy and Pamela Copus.

Born in Dallas, Texas, Randy began his music career at a very young age studying voice, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, tuba, guitar, piano, and ultimately, synthesizers. He quickly became fascinated with the recording and production side of the music business and traveled the country logging thousands of hours in recording studios in Los Angeles, New York City, Austin, New Orleans and Dallas as a composer, engineer, producer, synthesizer technician, musician and singer. In the 1980s Randy spent seven years as the lead vocalist in 7, an all-original rock band. He is proficient in many styles of music, including jazz, classical, rock and new age.

Pamela was born in Louisville, Kentucky, and began her music career there at the age of 6 studying piano. Throughout her school years, she studied a variety of acoustic instruments including flute, piccolo, violin, oboe, bagpipes and synthesizers. She attended both the University of Cincinnati in Ohio and the University of Madrid in Spain and helped pay her way through college playing keyboards and singing in bands performing various styles of music. After college, Pamela composed music and played keyboards, guitar, and flute in bands in the Houston and Dallas, Texas, areas. After forming 2002 with Randy, she also began playing harp.

Pamela and Randy married and in 1992, left their separate musical endeavors to form 2002. The blending of such diverse musical backgrounds has proven to be a tremendous success for Pamela and Randy. In 1996, 2002 signed with Real Music and in 1997 released Chrysalis, which achieved Billboard Chart status for seven weeks. In 1998, Real Music released Land of Forever which, as of mid-September 1999, has been on the Billboard Chart 25 weeks, achieving #15 ranking. 2002's popularity continues to grow, their music acclaimed by both listeners and reviewers. Wings and Savitri, 2002's first two albums, have also recently been re-released on the Real Music label.
