I know this album gets a poor rap, but it has always been my fav G.P. even though it's all covers, but what covers they are. I even like this better than "Sweetheart of the Rodeo," it just sounds so stripped-down and raw. Sure, it's basic and simple but I think that's the charm to these touching encounters and the 3 songs with Emmylou Harris is just a bonus. OH, what might have been!!! Sept.19/73 saw a Grievous Hour of Darkness__________
