Album Details
After Leaving the Buzzcocks in 1977, Vocalist Howard Devoto Formed Magazine with Guitarist John Mcgeoch, Bassist Barry Adamson, Keyboardist Bob Dickinson, and Drummer Martin Jackson. Acknowledged by Radiohead as an Important Influence, Magazine Wilfully Ignored the Prevailing Musical Orthodoxy of the Punk Era - which is What Makes These Albums Timeless. "Magic, Murder and the Weather" was Originally Released in June 1981. This was the Band's Last Album, Issued Soon after Devoto Announced that Magazine were Over. The Most Idiosyncratic of Magazine's Albums, "Magic..." Was Recorded with Guitarist Ben Mandelson, John Mcgeoch's Replacement. Digitally Remastered for 2007, the Album Includes the Single 'about the Weather', plus Two B-side Bonus Tracks.
