Eyecatcher for babies and pre-schoolers alike!
After much procrastination, I finally ordered some spanish books for my children, aged 12 mo's and 3 1/2 yrs. My 12-month old loves the vibrant colors of this book and, given his short attention span, the concise, bold text is ideally suited to his age group. Also I find this is a good introduction to reading for my pre-schooler for the same reasons--few words in big, bold text plus she is attracted to the simplicity of the drawings and the bright colors. I will definitely be ordering more from this series!
Very colorful, adorable
This book is so captivating with it's colors and illustrations. My son received this one at about 15 months and it quickly became one of his favorites. The colors shown are red, blue, yellow and green. The first page, for example, says, "La Fresa es de color....ROJO." On the left side you'll see the little boy with a giant strawberry and on the right side you'll see the dog with a can of paint and brush and the color red splashed everywhere. It's short, only about 5 pages or so, which means it won't lose your child's attention. At the end, it sums up all four colors again (on the left it shows all the objects and the right side shows the cans of paint). I also recommend the other books of this series which are: Los Contrarios, Las Formas, Los Numeros. They're all great. Short and to the point.
