Simply the Best
This is hands down the best translation of Oku no Hosomichi in English, but as if that wasn't enough, this edition is BEAUTIFULLY illustrated by Miyata Masayuki, and includes the original Japanese, along with necessary contextual footnotes. That The Narrow Road to Oku is a profound work of literary significance goes without saying.
