He is a tribal member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, but makes his home in Oakland, California. Under his editorial guidance, LiP garnered a host of awards and nominations, including Best Online Cultural Coverage and Best New Title from Utne , People's Choice from South by Southwest, Best Magazine from Clamor Magazine , Best Political Magazine from East Bay Express , and two Project Censored selections.
