About the Author
Ken Whiting, the 1997/98 World Freestyle Kayaking Champion and 5-time Canadian Champion, is one of the most recognized and respected instructors, and one of the most influential whitewater paddlers in the world. He was officially acknowledged so by Paddler magazine as one of their 'Paddlers of the Century.' Ken is a contributing editor to virtually every paddle sport magazine, and the co-founder of Kayak Futaleufu vacations.
Kevin Varette is one of Canada's foremost kayak instructors and a founding partner of bother Liquid Skills kayak school and Kayak Futaleufu vacations. He's a five-time member of Canada's National Freestyle Team, and developed a coaching program for Canada's juniors. Kayaking has been a fundamental part of his life and his passion is to share everything the sport has to offer with as many people as he can. Kevin is also a practicing physiotherapist.
