About the Author
Christine Allen is a writer and a gardener. She teaches courses in rose care and cultivation at VanDusen Botanical Garden where she also works as a volunteer. Since joining the Vancouver Rose Society in 1987, she has served as editor of its newsletter and in 1996-8 as president. She is the author of Roses for the Pacific Northwest, and co-author of Gardens of Vancouver. Christine lives on a farm in Langley, British Columbia, where she grows roses, perennials and climbers. Her ambition is to cover every fence on her nine-acre property with rambling roses.
