About the Author
Melissa Brayer-Hess is creator of a Foreign Service Website. She recently relocated from the Ukraine to Washington, D.C. Patricia Linderman is a writer, translator and U.S. Embassy liaison coordinator. She lives in Leipzig, Germany. The authors met, collaborated and wrote the book entirely over the Internet, first meeting face-to-face months after the manuscript was completed.

A very impressive book -- soup to nuts for the first time overseas employee and his/her family members. The practical outlook, first-hand stories and positive attitudes of the authors will provide a huge advantage to those who follow their guidance. I have been sifting through a bewildering melange of books on the subject of relocation which meander without direction or substance. I have the long held hope of an international re-assignment. This is the first book that addresses the anamoly of not knowing the answers, as one does not know the correct questions to ask.
