Portable, quick to knit, and universally wearable, new knitters have recently been discovering socks in droves, while Interweave Knits magazine has been providing original, beautiful patterns for a decade. Featuring 25 beautiful and timeless sock patterns for every occasion in a range of techniques, traditions, and designs, many of these patterns have become unavailable as original issues of Interweave Knits went out of print, but are available once again in this inspired collection. Highlights include a tutorial for knitting socks on two circular needles, instructions for making resoleable socks, and six completely new designs for those avid knitters who may have every issue of Interweave Knits magazine.

Beautiful pictures, clear & perfect5
Beautiful socks book. Each sock are gorgeous and patterns are so easy to follow. At the end, there are some basic how-to ( how to SSK, how to YO, etc ). It is a collection of 25 patterns from the magazine Interweave Knit, so for those who bougth the mag from the past 10 years, dont buy that book. There is a spiral-bound so its so easy to knit and follow the pattern! This book is worth it, believe me.
Happy knitting!

PS. This is not a How-To knit sock book. You need to know how to knit a sock, at least.

Love this book!5
I am a fairly new knitter and have been knitting plain self-striping socks for just over a year and a half. This book has allowed me to venture out of my box and to learn how to knit beautiful patterned designs using mostly solid and semi-solid coloured yarns. The instructions are well laid out, easy to follow, and the stitch guides (written and chart) are clear and concise. This is not a "how to knit" book, however, it includes basic and not-so-basic stitches and techniques.
Another feature that I like is that although the twenty-five sock patterns are from seventeen different designers, each featuring different yarns, stitches, styles, and techniques, each pattern is written and laid out in the same format.
The patterns in this book range from lacy feminine creations to rugged, practical socks with a unisex appeal.
For me, this book has made possible a natural progression from plain simple sock knitting to interestingly patterned and wearable socks.
