Editorial Reviews

From AudioFile
Reading a seamless abridgment of his well-organized prescription for preventing cardiovascular disease, the author sounds like a doctor. In other words, he reads aloud competently enough, but without the verve or inviting tone of a more experienced narrator. Still, hes earnest and enunciates clearly as he describes research on what clogs and unclogs arteries, and how to prevent a variety of other cardiovascular diseases. Organized for a general audience, the writing is accessible, and Agatstons personal stories and insights are motivating. Diet and exercise are part of his plan, along with state-of-the-art medical tests, if necessary, and a review with ones doctor of possible medicine or supplements. The program contains meal plans, exercises, and illustrations. T.W. © AudioFile 2008, Portland, Maine-- Copyright © AudioFile, Portland, Maine
