Product Description

The day of Yuca's rebirth has arrived! But first, Sharem, Eury, and Jilleena pay a trip to the frozen laboratory where Rain and Machika are! Eury gets separated from his companions, and ends up finding Rain, Machika, and the doctor. Eury reveals that while Calvaria Corporation has the front of scientific research, their under-the-table enterprise is arms dealing to whatever country will purchase it. To them, the Angels are a treasure trove. A fight between Machika and Sharem is cut short when Sharem receives a call that Tseeda's contractions have begun. Tseeda ends up being killed as Yuca erupts out of her body, already looking at least 8-10 years old. It isn't long before Sharem shows up as well with Yuca. Yuca is so happy Rain came that he sheds tears, but Rain announces to his friend, crying as well, that he came to kill him. Just then, Rain notices Machika running towards him. He tells her not to come, and locks her behind an armoured door, telling her to run away, and that he'll find her. He leaves her with "I like you too." Yuca begins talking again, telling Rain that it's all right if he wants to kill him, but he wants to make Rain hate him more first, and he's found just the right thing to cause that using Machika. Rain is attacked by a Bio-Angel that manages to crush Rain's heart as Machika watches. The lab is then enveloped in an explosion, but Machika somehow survives and awakes on at the doctor's place. Machikia is told there is a very slim chance that Rain is alive, since Yuca wouldn't have come back just to kill him. He says there's still some secret to the Methuselah's body, but she has to keep believing.

Totally awesome!5
I'm not a fan of action-oriented manga, but THIS one surprised the crapola outta me. It had just the right balance of action, humour and drama to make it very compelling. The main characters are engaging right from the get-go, and the supporting cast add their own touch to the story. What's great is that we know right from the beginning that the main character has a terrible burden to bear, but the author doesn't reveal much, all the while managing to spin some great yarn! Can't wait to read volume 2!

PS: I'M A GARDEN TREE!! Totally classic...

GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!5
(...) this is one of the best manga I have read, my first was kill me, kiss me which is great as well, but this one surpassed my expectations, great artwork and some valuable sayings, I advise anyone to read it!

Absolutely Superb5
Immortal Rain was the very first Manga book that I have ever read.At first, reading a manga book can be quite confusing because of the right-to-left reading pattern. Once you get the hang of it these books become very enjoyable. I found Immortal Rain to be absolutely wonderful. What Can I say about it? It has the elements that many look for in a good book. It has action, drama and even some comical moments! It contains a well put together story-line and talented artwork.
Rain Jewlitt is 624 is an immortal man known as Methuselah, whose only possession is a violin that he plays so badly that the heavens cry. Rain is much like an eternally young hippie. He is being hunted by people who either want to collect the bounty on his head or study him and unlock the secrets of his immortality. Machika Balfaltin, an energetic, tomboyish 14-year-old girl is one of his pursuers who just wants him dead. Upon the death of her grandfather, she sets out to kill Methuselah, the one bounty her assassin grandfather, Zol the Grim Reaper, couldn't kill. Instead, however, Machika ends up being saved by Rain repeatedly from other aspiring bounty hunters attacking them both. This seems to form the bonds of the ultimate odd couple.
Meteor Methuselah (as it is called in Japan) is a great read for teens and adults of all ages.
