Editorial Reviews
From Booklist
It's the craft of the century, infiltrating every specialty store in the country. The headlines about scrapbooking are all true: it's one of the fastest-growing hobbies-avocations. What the authors have accomplished here is a multipaged how-to and visual illustration of all kinds of memory books, intended for almost professionals as well as novices. The first half or so concentrates on the basics, from the reasons to create keepsakes, and design possibilities (for instance, shabby chic, grunge, and eclectic), to the use of words, photographs, and successful layouts. Then on to the "real" content. Any personal or universal event--Halloween, babies, pets, holidays, weddings, among others--is well documented with ideas, different styles, and enhancements. Every page is adorned with examples; questions and answers populate chapters on specific scrapbook occasions that are on every family's top-hits list. Barbara Jacobs
