Editorial Reviews
From Library Journal
In this day and age of political correctness, some people may be offended by this book's title, even after, upon closer scrutiny, they learn it is a publication about the National Football League's Washington Redskins. Written by football historian Whittingham, author of 27 books including What a Game They Played, the study chronicles the club from its early days in 1932 as the Boston Braves, through the move in 1936 to the nation's capital, right up to the present day. The title includes chapters on the club's heritage, greatest runners, receivers, defenders, and coaches, as well as the Super Bowl years, plus a unique section on the Redskins' spirit. Without a doubt, this is a nostalgic tome that features both vintage and contemporary photos. Football enthusiasts, especially Redskin fans, will enjoy the book. Buy where demand warrants.
