Editorial Reviews

From School Library Journal
PreSchool-K-In Piece of Moss, the lively mole sisters encounter a self-proclaimed "dull" piece of moss yearning for a change of scenery. They decide to cheer it up by taking it on an adventure. After a fun-filled day, the two settle down for the night, covered by a protective moss blanket. In Rainy Day, even bad weather cannot spoil the sisters' sunny dispositions; after encountering a leak, which turns from a puddle to a pool, they make the most of the situation and jump in for a swim. The characters' joie de vivre is conveyed through their body movements and dialogue, rather than by their fairly expressionless faces, which often consist of only two black dots for eyes. The simple, sparse texts combined with the thumbnail colored-pencil illustrations make these books welcome additions.

Review
Although the drawings are simple, the moles radiate happiness and fun... Highly Recommended. (Joan Payzant Canadian Materials )
