Limit hold'em book
After reading all the good reviews about this book, i decided to buy it.
I am a NL player and most of the book is centered around LIMIT HOLD'EM. The section about odds is interesting, putting your opponent on a wide range of hands and when to bluff etc. But i was hoping to learn more secrets about NL.
Still, this book convinced me to get my act together and get a good job and have a backup plan before I even think of becoming a professional poker player. I want to thank Mark Blade for that.
What You Need to Know
It is all but impossible to make a living playing poker, and people should be aware of that. At limit poker, online, you would need to be in the top 1% of players at a limit of $3/6 or higher, to make a living wage. You should also be aware that it is not unusual to have a losing streak lasting 25,000 hands, even for excellent players playing against weak competition. The gravy train has left the station, folks. Proceed with caution.
