About the Author
Sylvie Rocher was born in Le Puy en Velay, a historic city in the Auvergne region of France. Le Puy en Velay is located geographically in the center of France and is approximately 2 hours from the city of Lyon.

Ms. Rocher left France after completing her studies to explore the world. In the last ten years she has traveled to over 20 countries. Her curiosity about the world has given her the opportunity to study and enjoy some of the ‘most wonderful food’ in the world. This has taken her from the countryside of France, to the hills of Jamaica, to the deserts in Egypt, to the islands of Thailand and many places in between. In each situation she has learned the secrets of cooking and eating the native food of the land she has visited from the people she has met during her travels
