About the Author
Violet Parkhurst studied art at the School of Practical Arts in Boston, Massachusetts, where she won a scholarship to the Museum of Fine Arts in Worchester, Massachusetts. She later attended Baylor College in Waco, Texas, and Los Angeles State College in California.
Parkhurst specializes in painting seascapes, the nude figure, and all kinds of animals. She has won scholarships, trophies, and numerous other awards. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Stockholm Museum in Switzerland, as well as in many private collections. Parkhurst owns three galleries, where she displays and sells paintings of her favorite subjects.
