Simpson (Complete Guide to Woodworking, Running Pr., 1994) has prepared a well-illustrated guide to making whimsical children's furniture. The instructions begin with a list of equipment, cutting requirements, plans, elevations, and templates and continue with text and photographs that explain the ten projects every step of the way, concluding with alternative decorations that can be used for each piece. Although Simpson suggests that even amateurs can complete these projects, those familiar with the use of power tools will get the most from this book.
