Product Description
Now available in paperback and with a beautiful new cover, Diane Worthington's American Bistro is even better today than when it was first published in 1997. Inspired by European corner cafes, American bistro fare is defined by fresh ingredients and a preference for locally grown, seasonal items. Sophisticated in its simplicity, featuring ethnic flavours, regional foods, and easy-to-master techniques such as grilling and roasting, this exciting American cuisine is more popular than ever. Just as she defined California Cuisine with her classic cookbook The Cuisine of California, Diane brings the bistro sensation into home kitchens everywhere.

Review
"Diane Worthington's American Bistro captures the essence of how we eat today. . . . It embraces concepts and combinations that stem from European bistros and trattorias, but it is unmistakably American in its ingredients and style."
