Nothing's fishy about this book
Fishy's patterns are a marvel of creativity and resourceful design. His recipe for making hopper wings from interface material treated with model airplane dope is pure elegance, as is his tip for using a large sewing needle to thread rubber legs through foam bodies. The book is well-written, with concise, step-by-step pattern recipes spiced with fishing anecdotes drawn from decades of experience. The tying instructions and hand-drawn illustrations are well done. although I feel the book suffers a bit from a lack of photos of the finished flies.
