About the Author
Ojakangas is a well-known food writer, cookbook author, and consultant who has worn various hats in the food industry since 1960. A 1997 James Beard Foundation Award winner for her book Light and Easy Baking, she has written some 25 previous books and is considered an expert on Scandinavian baking. Her articles have appeared in Gourmet, Bon Appetit, Cuisine, Pleasures of Cooking, Cooking Light, Woman's Day, and Redbook, and she currently writes a weekly column for the Minneapolis Star and Tribune. She has appeared on Wisconsin Public Radio in 'All About Food with Jean Feraca,' CNN television, Martha Stewart Living, and Public Television's Baking with Julia. She lives in Duluth, Minnesota.
