Product Description
Captures the essentials of a child's world in a fun foldout format.
In this truly innovative and colorful approach to expanding a very young child's world, artist Josie Firmin uses a basic origami fold to create a book whose pages unfold to four times the size of the original. As each page expands, so will vocabularies, as young readers encounter new words and detailed pictures of the world around them. MY WEEK features spreads of daily activities—preschool fun, a play date, swimming, reading, a party, and more. Josie Firmin's detailed and vivid images offer young children hundreds of pictures to pore over and lots of everyday words to read.

Editorial Reviews
From Publishers Weekly
Beginning with "Monday," in which a preschooler is surrounded by a "tricycle," "computer" and "clay," My Week by Josie Firmin covers all seven days. The pages unfold almost like a cootie-catcher to reveal Richard Scarry-like watercolors, all labeled in fine print. Each square page depicts four different activities and their accompanying elements, and cover universal activities such as going to the park, visiting the zoo and bathtime. My World progresses from the child, to his family, home, street and town.

About the Author
Josie Firmin began her career coloring for comic books, but had always wanted to create a children's book in a nontraditional format. Several years later, she arrived at her unique "origami style" picture book. Josie Firmin lives in England with her family, and spends three days a week painting china in her shop in London.
