About the Author
Stephen Morse is director of the AIDS and STD division at the CDC in Atlanta, Georgia, and as such is at the cutting edge of clinical research in this field. He has been lead editor of the first two editions of the book. King Holmes is the director of the U Wash. Center for STD and AIDS and has played a key role in the development of US clinical treatment protocols for HIV/AIDS. He is the first editor of the leading STD text - Sexually Transmitted Diseases, published by McGraw Hill (1998), and has a huge reputation in this field worldwide. Ron Ballard is a leading expert on STD's and AIDS in developing countries, and was formerly Director of the National STD Center in South Africa. He is now based at the CDC in Atlanta.
