Editorial Reviews
From Library Journal
Several generations of stitchers grew up using handy little "Anchor Books" and leaflets issued by the makers of Anchor brand thread. This recent series continues the tradition of a small handy format that includes large, clear diagrams, patterns, and color photos of finished stitches. Some simple projects are included, but the primary emphasis is as a guide for making individual stitches. Each stitch diagram shows very well the sequence of steps from the beginning?an area in which many stitch guides fail. Color photos are large and clearly show the weave of the ground fabric, a particularly important consideration in counted-thread techniques such as Hardanger. These are excellent references for library and home use.
