From Amazon.com
A charming gift for expectant parents, Oh Baby, the Places You'll Go is designed to be an in utero introduction to the wonderful world of Dr. Seuss. Adapted from his works, and touching on them all from Horton to Who-ville, author Tish Rabe has maintained Seuss's style perfectly. Your baby is the unnamed star of the book, and reading directly to your tummy becomes easy with lines like "the words I am saying you hear in your heart, and know that I wish you the very best start." Filled with the good doctor's whimsical illustrations, you'll find all your favorite characters, with a short rhyme that mentions each one--and just enough direct quotations to get those infants stimulated when you read Seuss's whole books to them at a later date. --Jill Lightner

A wonderful book
This book is so wonderful. My mom bought this for me when I first found out I was pregnant with my son. My husband would read it to the baby all the time and it made it a wonderful family bonding time.
Now that my best friend is going to have a baby I am going to pass a long the tradition of having this book to read to the baby before it is born. And I know she is gonna love it.
A Must-Have Primer to Dr. Seuss' Fanciful World
My mother gave me this book when I was pregnant with my first child. My husband and I read it frequently to our son (now 3) in utero. I have since purchased it for every expectant parent I know. If you love Dr. Suess, and are expecting, you must have this book.
The book is a short compilation of Dr. Suess favorites. It introduces the newcomer to all the imaginative characters of Dr. Seuss' creative mind. It's also great practice for parents-to-be to get back into the swing of reading aloud. The beauty of the book is in its rhythm and rhyming, which captivate the developing mind of a child. Our son who was read this book in utero is now a book fanatic and constantly makes up rhyming words. I believe this is a direct result of his exposure to this and other Seuss books.
Loved It!
This was an awesome book. At first we thought oh this is a lot smaller than expected but worth it. It's a great intro to the Dr Seuss books, the rhyming is the same. When we were pregnant my husband would read this book to our unborn baby every night. She would bounce around like crazy when he started reading (after a couple of weeks of reading the story). It's catchy. Anyway we also had proof she reacted. I had fetal monitoring (heart rate/movements) every week and every week I was there for extremely long periods cause they could not get the heartrates/movements they were looking for. My husband started reading the book during my appointments and the baby would react, you could see it on the charts. Appts that once took upwards 2 1/2 hours were now taking the normal 20 - 30 minutes cause once he started reading the baby would react. I would recommend it to everyone who is pregnant and keep as a keepsake to pass on to your child when they are expecting.
