About the Author
Mark Lebwohl, the lead editor for this project, has an exemplary track record. He is the academic chairman of his department at Mount Sinai Medical School, and is actively involved in clinical practice, spending most of his time seeing patients and doing clinical trials, many of which are funded by pharmaceutical companies. He has excellent drug company connections. He has over 400 publications, with over 100 in peer-reviewed journals. He developed the most commonly-used regimen in the USA for treatment of psoriasis. He is the editor of the Treatment Pearls section in the prestigious Blue Journal of Dermatology (Mosby), and is the author of successful Atlas of the Skin and Systemic Disease (Churchill Livingstone, 1995). He has a special interest in new therapies and evidence-based medicine, is highly regarded worldwide, and is extremely enthusiastic and responsive about this project.

Warren Heymann is the second US editor. Whilst not as well known internationally as Mark Lebwohl he is well regarded within the USA, where he has a reputation for being solid and reliable. He is actively involved in clinical practice and in teaching, and provides a valuable "office-based" perspective to this book.

John Berth-Jones is based at the Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry. He has a very good international reputation and lectures extensively in Western Europe, North America and Australasia. He has a strong interest in clinical trials, and again has excellent pharmaceutical company connections. As well as his research work in dermatologic therapeutics, he is an active clinican and teacher.

Ian Coulson is based at Burnley General Hospital, and trained at the highly-regarded St John's Institute. He has a strong interest in therapeutics, and has a particularly good reputation in the UK. He is responsive and very keen.
