Readers are asked to help the earnest little pup find the ball, paint, and blocks. One one page is a brown-and-white dog behind the wheel of a bright red tractor: "Kipper likes driving the tractor. What would you like to drive?" The opposite page features a blank yellow page with an indented, outlined shape of a car. Young readers pop the shiny red, yellow, and blue car out of its spot at the beginning of the book, and press it into the appropriate space.
