Editorial Reviews
From AudioFile
The adventures of the Gilbreth family continue to be classic and enduring stories of family life at the turn of the twentieth century. Dana Ivey reads all narration and dialogue at a brisk, steady clip keeping the story line moving. Her vocal styles differ for males, females or children, adequately separating character types, but not individuals. Ivey dramatizes the episodes by adding appropriate emotional inflections, especially for the children. Sections of the tape offer bits of music enhancing the narrative with accompaniment appropriate for the turn-of-the-century era. Listeners will enjoy this entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable reading. P.A.J. (c)AudioFile, Portland, Maine
