Product Description
What's the dish way to entertain? Instead of a stressful sit-down, bring-out-the-good china dinner party for eight, it's a vibrant, stand-up kitchen tapas party with warm breads, dips and spiced nuts. Or, rather than a traditional buffet, it's a gourmet self-serve family-style spread.
Trish Magwood is the maven behind the concept that is dish. Known for her hit show party dish on the Food Network, and for her dish cooking studio/cooking school, catering company and specialty food shop - which emphasizes easy-tomaster techniques and fresh, readily available ingredients, Magwood has defined her own stylish, confident and sooo easy brand of entertaining. And dish entertains is exactly the book needed by time-starved chefs who want both innovative and classic entertaining recipes - simple, beautiful and always deliciously fabulous. Each chapter, from Dips and Nibbles, to Mains, to Desserts, is divided into a section of recipes for simple everyday hosting and a more elegant offering of "wow" recipes. And with more than 60 gorgeous, full-colour photos, this is a book as beautiful to use as it is to display.

About the Author
Trish Magwood graduated from Queen's University with an honours B.A. in communications. After graduating from Peter Kump's cooking school (ICE) in New York City, she became a personal chef, finally launching Toronto's dish cooking studio, cafÉ, retail business and catering company - all at the same time. Those successes spurred her on to create her television show, party dish. The Globe and Mail recently named her one of the "Taste Makers of Tomorrow." Trish Magwood lives in Toronto with her husband and two children. She is currently working on her next television concept.
