Experience the thrill and terror all over again with Resident Evil 5 for Xbox 360. Featuring Chris Redfield of the original Resident Evil and Sheva Alomar, a West African agent of the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA), this sci-fi survival game is staged in a remote desert colony packed with hordes of fast-moving, quick-thinking enemies that represent a whole new breed of evil.

Meet Two Fierce, Playable Main Characters
Back from the original title and Resident Evil: Code Veronica, former S.T.A.R.S. special forces team member Redfield is a battle-tested, founding member of the BSAA. With a reputation for superior marksmanship and phenomenal hand-to-hand combat abilities, he's on the ground and up against a new strain of evil.

You'll call his shots from the same over-the-shoulder third person viewpoint that distinguished Resident Evil 4, except this time you'll also have the option of playing as his teammate, the fierce, local Alomar. Whoever you play as, updates to the earlier version's third-person control scheme offer more options and promise intuitive interactions.

Learn to Work Together
The new cooperative game play element focuses on the realities of a dual-agent mission, highlighting the ways in which Redfield and Alomar must work together to survive the unexpected, while still allowing them to split up and work alone. To help you maximize the potential of this setup, two-player online and offline co-op modes ensure that you have options when picking a partner.

Steel yourself Against the Harsh Reality of Kijuju
An advanced version of Capcom's proprietary MT Framework game engine brings groundbreaking graphics and effects to Kijuju, the highly-developed environment where this game's action takes place. New, lifelike lighting schemes highlight the differences between harsh sunlight and extreme darkness, and when you move from one to the other, you'll have to wait for your character's eyes to adjust before you can see clearly, adding to the suspense and challenge of navigating this game's environs.

Face the Next Generation of Evil
You'll face new enemies with faster reflexes and improved AI, designed to be as dangerous alone as they are in groups and to keep even Resident Evil masters on their toes. Thankfully, they're not the only ones who have evolved. This game also offers access to powerful new weapons variations that extend your destructive capabilities.

And the updated, quick-select inventory system allows for real-time inventory management, as well as allowing characters to trade items and allowing you to place an item on the directional pad for instant access. Add all this to a detailed storyline the touches on what the past ten years have meant for Redfield and a Hollywood-caliber soundtrack, and it's clear that the latest installment in this series really does showcase all the elements at the heart of horror gaming.

Amazing quality5
I downloaded the demo off of xbox-live, and unlike the reviewer ' Anon "anon" ' I understand that demo's are "demonstrations" of a game...and not the full game.
Anon "anon" if you do not understand what a demo is, please please PLEASE do not make an entire review based off of it! You waste your time, the time of those who read it, and you submit false/inaccurate reviews.

If you loved resident evil 4 you will LOVE this game!

To correct the misconceptions created by Anon "Anon":
"I didn't see any real campaign mode or anything" THE ENTIRE GAME IS A CAMPAIGN! You were shown 2 pieces of that campaign! DO NOT EXPECT TO DOWNLOAD AN ENTIRE GAME FOR FREE WHEN IT IS CALLED A DEMO!

"I find this a kind of lazy production on the part of capcom,"
Yes...very lazy of them to go out of their way to make a demo for fans to enjoy...damn them for taking the extra effort to bring us a free sample! They should have been nice enough to personally come and deliver free copies to everyone's door on a silver platter!

"and to be honest the controls are not so great(bout the same as resident evil 4)."
Yes...let's complain about the controls in one of the highest rated games of all time. The controls aren't perfect, but no game has perfect controls. These are a tweaked version of RE4's controls, they are a lot more fluid and, they are also the controls for the demo, RE5 even put up a disclaimer saying that the demo isn't a complete version of the game and may not perform as well etc,. etc,.

"It's basically a fraction of the game resident evil 4 was."
...Demo's DO tend to be a FRACTION of a game...please...stop being dumb. If you didn't know, you can go to stores and buy FULL-LENGTH games! Surprise Surprise, Capcom wasn't handing out free full-length copies of RE5 on xbox-live before the games release date...

"Catered to the left 4 dead crowd, not really resident evil fans. "
...This is just like RE4, but with a new story-line and upgrading graphics, controls and online/offline multiplayer mode! Which is something the Resident Evil series has always needed. This game is catered for the gaming community. PERIOD. Anyone who plays the Resident Evil series will certainly love this game!

Awesome!4
Awesome game, good story line. Overall play time was short but other than that no complaints.

RE:5 is going to be AWESOME5
Im sure im not alone when I say ive been waiting for this game to come out for a long time. I seen video footage of this game at the E3 Gaming Expo two years ago and my mouth has been watering ever since. Ive been keeping up to date on all the info released on this game and video footage which im glad to say still looks as good if not better then the original rendered footage from two years ago, Ive recently downloaded the demo for this on the Xbox 360 and I must say its very fun, I was alittle disappointed that they didnt change the aiming in the game as per previous Resident Evil games when you aim your weapon your stationary and cant move while aiming which wasnt a big deal in the past but now with high pace games like Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4 & 5 and Gears of War 2, I wanted to be able to move while aiming, it would just feel better (More Natural), I downloaded a video on the game on my 360 recently and found that they actually made it an option to be able to move while aiming and now im apsolutly pumped for this game.... the co-op in this game looks unmatched and the online should be fun, im buying this game for the 360 so my friends and I can play together, Ive already purchased mine online and I highly recommend you do the same you wont be disapointed!!!
