With over 400 of the most closely guarded photographic “tricks of the trade,” this boxed set—consisting of The Digital Photography Book, volume 1 and The Digital Photography Book, volume 2—is the ultimate resource for anyone who wants to shoot dramatically better-looking, sharper, more colorful, more professional-looking photos every time.
Scott Kelby, the man who changed the “digital darkroom” forever with his ground-breaking, bestselling The Photoshop Book for Digital Photographers, now tackles the most important side of digital photography—how to take professional-quality shots using the same tricks today’s top digital pros use (and it’s easier than you think).
These aren’t books of theory, full of confusing jargon and detailed concepts. These are books on which button to push, which setting to use, and when to use it. Each page covers a single concept on how to make your photography better. Every time you turn the page, you’ll learn another pro setting, tool, or trick to transform your work from snapshots into gallery prints. If you’re tired of shots that look “okay,” and if you’re tired of looking in photography magazines and thinking, “Why don’t my shots look like that?” then these are the books for you.

Excellent Beginner Books
Both great books and the second builds on the other. Kelby gives a tip on a subject for each page. All extremely helpful and, at the same time, very easy to read. These books launched my now obsession with photography. Excellent reads.
Great books for beginner
A friend of mine recommended these books to me, and there are awsome! They explain you how to shoot like pro would be shooting with you on the field. It's easy to understand and very straight forward.
The best photography book I've ever read
I've been involved with photography since my teens, going on 40 years now. And I've read a lot of books of the subject, which most were written as if you had a degree in phototgraphy. Scott Kelby's books are very easily understood as they don't go into a lot of technical detail. Volume 1 is so easy to follow my 10 year old grand daughter had no problem understanding it. I found both books Volume 1 & 2 very informative without going into a lot of technical detail. If you want to learn how to get a desired effect then Scott Kelby's Digital Photography Set is where you will find it. Kelby tells you in as few words as posible to get this effect set this and that and shoot.
You don't need an engineering degree to figure out how to get the shots like a pro if you read these books.
